He is
currently
a member

Washington
Lodges,
Woodland-Kalama
#17 of
which he
is a
life
member
and Mt
Hood
#32. He
is Past
Master
of
Woodland-Kalama,
and past
treasurer
of Mt
Hood. He
is a
member
of the
Vancouver
Scottish
Rite
Valley
and is a
Member
of
Vancouver
York
Rite
bodies.
He is a
Past
Emminent
Commander
of the
Commandery
and Past
Illustrious
Master
of the
Council.
He is a
High
Priest
of
Chapter.
In 1994
he
joined
Al Kader
Shrine
just
before
transferring
to
California
where he
joined,
Al
Malika’s
High
Desert
Shrine
Club and
was
active
with
them
until
2000
when he
moved to
Vancouver.
Shortly
after
arriving
he
changed
his
shrine
membership
to Afifi
and
Joined
Gateway
Shrine
Club. In
2005 he
was
appointed
to the
divan as
1st
Ceremonial
Master.
He
served
in that
position
for 2
years
before
being
elected
to the
Elected
Divan
Line.
John has
had
careers
with the
US Army
and the
Office
of
Federal
Investigations.
He also
taught
economics
for
several
years at
a
college
in
Oregon.
He is
married
to Malee
who is
an RN.
They
have a
daughter,
Malessa,
who is a
17 year
old
running
start
student
at Clark
College.
John has
5 other
children
who are
all
grown up
and have
families
of their
own.
They
have
given
him 12
grand
children
and 3
great-grand
children.
His
interests
include
fishing,
travel,
hot
rods,
masonry
and
political
economics.
